LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- After months of debate, a Bullitt County Sheriff's budget has been approved.

The chief deputy says the fiscal court approved the budget this morning.

In December, Sheriff Dave Greenwell told county leaders he could no longer afford to provide police service in the county. By law, the sheriff's office must serve papers, provide security at the courthouse and patrol public roads.

But an agreement signed last week by Greenwell indicated that the budget was no longer a problem.
