LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman takes her charity nationwide on Rachael Ray.

Beth Green started the charity "My Dog Eats First" after seeing a homeless man feed his dog before himself. On Wednesdays, volunteers set up shop at Waterfront Park to provide free food, kitty litter and other pet necessities.

Veterinarians are also on site for the pets' medical needs.

On Friday's show, Rachael Ray surprised Green with 500 bags of her Nutrish pet food.

My Dog Eats First also partners with an organization called "Louisville's Forgotten" every Wednesday. Together, they make sure both people and their pets have a full stomach.
