LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Shelby County grand jury has indicted a Simpsonville Police officer accused of stealing from his own department.

Terry Putnam was indicted on charges of theft, criminal mischief and official misconduct.

Police say Putnam stole $30,000, guns and drugs from evidence lockers in November.

During the burglary investigation, police say Putnam was one of two officers who refused to take a polygraph test.
