LOUISVILLE, Ky, (WDRB) -- A convenience store customer is being called a hero after shooting a hatchet-wielding attacker.

A masked man walked into the 7-11 store in Seattle, Washington early Sunday morning with a hatchet and started swinging at a clerk. A 60-year-old regular customer, who is a licensed concealed gun carrier, shot the suspect. Medics weren't able to revive him.

Police don't know what led to the attack.

Charges aren't expected in the case, but it's going to be forwarded to the prosecutor's office for consideration.

A clerk was cut during the attack, but is expected to recover.
