OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Oldham County man accused of kidnapping a woman and pointing a gun at another, is talking from jail.

In a story you'll see only on WDRB News, we sat down with the suspect who says police have the wrong guy.

Patrick Moore, 31, says he only agreed to talk with us because he didn't do it. He says the person who did is still out there.

“Hopefully they find the right person," Moore said from a holding area inside the Oldham County Jail.

Moore faces 12 different charges including kidnapping and robbery. He spoke with WDRB Monday night, but did not want the camera in the room.

Reporter: "And what about the Planet Fitness?"

Moore: "Never been there in my life."

Investigators say Thursday around 2:00 a.m., Moore approached a woman in the parking lot of Planet Fitness in La Grange. She ended up calling 911.

About 24-hours later, another woman placed a similar call to dispatch explaining what happened to her in the parking lot of Walmart.

Investigators say both women identified Moore in a photo line-up and one described him as ‘heavy set’.

“And I'm not heavy set whatsoever," said Moore.

The suspect allegedly had on clear gloves, a gray hoodie, and a blue bandana. Items that police say were found in Moore's home.

Reporter: “So you never had like a blue bandana on?"

Moore: "No sir.”

Reporter: "Never asked two women for money?"

Moore: "No sir."

Moore told WDRB he was home with his fianceé when this all allegedly happened, and was in bed the next morning when Kentucky State Police surrounded the home.

"I was still half asleep,” said Moore, “I wasn't thinking anything.

Reporter: “What types of things were they saying to you?"

Moore: “Come out with your hands up."

KSP officers arrested Moore Friday for being a felon with a gun.

Despite facing several drug charges in the past, Moore says he's never been accused of anything like this.

"Something that I gotta face, something I gotta live with," said Moore.

Reporter: “I mean these are pretty serious charges."

Moore: "Very serious charges for something that I didn't do … the person who did this is still out there."

Moore says as of 5:00 p.m. Monday night he did not have an attorney.
