Hopkinsville police seize more than 100 pounds of pot during traffic stop

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Nortonville, Kentucky woman is facing several charges after police say they found a large quantity of marijuana in the vehicle she was driving during a traffic stop. 

According to a news release from the Hopkinsville Police Department, it happened Monday in Christian County. That's when police say Humphrey was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 24 near the 71 mile marker. 

Hopkinsville Police K-9 "Enzo" was at the scene of the traffic stop and indicated on Humphrey's vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, police allegedly found 103 pounds of marijuana.

Humphrey was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of open alcohol container, and speeding.

The seized marijuana has an estimated street value of $450,000.

Humphrey is being held in the Christian County Jail.
