Abused puppy found in logging truck involved in road rage incident had ingested meth

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A puppy rescued from a road rage suspect in Bullitt County had been fed illegal drugs.

Danny Gonzalez is now charged with animal cruelty.

The 50-year old is already facing wanton endangerment and criminal mischief charges after a road rage incident in February.

Gonzalez told police he "snapped" and drove several vehicles off the road along Interstate 65.

An eight-week-old puppy was found motionless, in a box in the back of Gonzalez's semi.

A vet says the dog's tail was glued to its bottom, and it tested positive for meth and amphetamine.

A grand jury will hear the case Thursday.
