LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Putting a face on the issue of refugees in Kentucky.

That was the purpose of a rally held Wednesday in the Capitol Rotunda.

It was the third annual Catholic Charities Refugee Day designed to educate Kentucky lawmakers about the more than 25,000 refugees who have come through the state's resettlement program over the last 10 years.

Catholic Charities says it wants to counter some of the recent negative rhetoric about refugees.

Many of the refugees also had private meetings with lawmakers.
