LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville couple headed to Las Vegas with family to get married, but a tour bus accident police say was caused by a drunk driver has put that on hold, according to reports.

LasVegasNow.com reports Ashlee Swift, of Louisville, had to have her left arm amputated as a result of the crash.

Swift, her fiancé, Anthony Alston, and their 11-month-old baby were in Vegas for the couple's wedding. But the couple was in a shuttle headed for a helicopter ride on March 12 when police told reporters a drunk driver caused a crash on I-15 that trapped Ashlee under the van.

“She looked at me, and she said she wouldn't look down at her arms or nothing. Because, she was… the way she was sitting… and she said, ‘Did they… do I got all my extremities?’” Swift’s father, LaPriest Storms, told LasVegasNow.com. “I said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘You don't have a left arm.’ She said, ‘I don't have a left arm?’ I said, ‘No sweetheart,’ and she just cried.”

Nevada Highway Patrol said Orlando Gunn drove drunk and caused the crash on I-15 near D Street. He faces felony DUI and other charges. Police said 13 other people were injured in the crash.

The website reports the baby is back in Kentucky with family.

They have set up a GoFundMe page to help cover medical costs.
