Pitino laments U of L's 'March Sadness,' looks to future in new blog post

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The NCAA tournament craze may be sweeping the nation, but Cards fans know all too well how difficult it is to be left out this year.
University of Louisville coach Rick Pitino took the time Thursday to lament the loss of this year's post season in a blog post titled, fittingly, March Sadness.
"So many countless hours of work for one dream, one goal and one final run at becoming part of something special," he wrote. "I truly believe that idleness, especially during these times, is the devil’s workshop."
He wrote about attending a close friend's father's wake and how it made him reflect on what his team is going through, and how he will respond.
"These times call for preparation, organization and getting better, not bitter," he wrote. "Monday starts Individual instruction. Let’s get better and plan to do exciting things next March."
