LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A bill that would give fallen EMS worker's families $80,000 now heads to the governor's desk.

The bill would give families the same death benefits given to families of fallen police and firefighters in the state. It passed unanimously in both the house and senate.

It was filed following the death of a Jessamine County paramedic who was hit by a car on ambulance duty.
