One person dead after two separate shootings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person was killed and another person was injured in two separate shootings Saturday evening. 

The first shooting was reported at 5:30 p.m. in south Louisville in the 2400 block of Nichols View Court near Manslick Road. 

"When officers arrived, they found a black male that had apparently been shot inside a vehicle," said LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell. "He received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene."

Mitchell says police have no suspects at this time. 

The second shooting was reported about an hour later in the 900 block of Esquire Alley. Police say the victim in that shooting is expected to survive.
