Officials say it's still too dangerous to search for car that plunged into the Ohio River

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Days after a crash sent a car plunging into the Ohio River, it's still too dangerous to search for it.

It happened after a pileup last Tuesday on the Combs-Hehl Bridge between northern Kentucky and the east side of Cincinnati near Coney Island and Riverbend Music Center.

A car was halfway across the bridge when a semi rear-ended it, sending it into the river.

The search was called off because the rising river made it unsafe.

Officials say the swift current means it will be Wednesday at the earliest before the search can resume.
