Vote tonight could move GCCS a step closer to putting bus compound to old 10th Street auto auction property

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A vote Tuesday night could mean Greater Clark County Schools moves one step closer to getting a new bus compound.

The district wants to buy the Clark County Auto Auction property to replace its current bus depot.

But the mayor and some business owners are against adding dozens of school buses to the traffic on 10th Street.

Jeffersonville's Planning Commission will vote on whether to re-zone the auto auction property, so it can be used as a bus compound.

The city council and the board of zoning appeals would still have to approve the re-zoning.

The zoning meeting starts at 6 p.m.
