LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The terror attacks in Brussels, Belgium, prove that we're all in this together.

That comment came from U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell this afternoon.

At least 31 people were killed and dozens hurt in two airport bombings, and another bombing in the Brussels subway system.

After an appearance in Louisville, McConnell said the U.S. must more strongly lead the international effort to combat terrorism, and that includes defeating ISIS.

"This is not going to go away until we organize an effort to take out ISIS," McConnell said. "And that's not going to happen without U.S. leadership. I wish the President would step up, lay out a plan, and go in and take them out. We don't have to do it with American troops only."
