LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man after authorities say admitted he stabbed a victim.

Eric Medley, 34, was arrested Tuesday in the 5000 block of Shepherdsville Road, not far from Fern Valley Road.

Authorities say a witness stated that Medley came out of a home and stabbed the victim. According to police, the witness also said the victim did nothing to provoke Medley.

The official police report says Medley admitted he stabbed the victim in the left forearm. Police say the victim had two severed tendons as a result of the stabbing.

Medley is charged with assault. He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
