Bill defining bullying in Kentucky's public schools heads to state House

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A bill defining bullying in Kentucky's public schools is headed to the state House.

The House Education Committee advanced the measure today.

A statewide definition of bullying would give schools more guidance in identifying and stopping bullying. It would be incorporated into codes of conduct at schools across Kentucky, and would allow schools to accurately report the number of bullying incidents.

The proposal has already passed the Senate.
