Tennessee buyer pays $1.5 million for Lynn's Paradise Cafe site

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The property that used to house Lynn's Paradise Cafe has been sold for $1.5 million to Fresh Capital Acquisitions, of Madison, Tennessee, according to a deed filed in the Jefferson County Clerk's office.

Dale Wasem signed the deed as manager of Fresh Capital.

Wasem has been associated with Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe, a Birmingham, Alabama-based chain of Greek-inspired restaurants. There is already one location in Louisville on Shelbyville Road near the Snyder.

A 2013 Nashville Business Journal story identified Wasem as the owner of a Taziki's restaurant in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Lynn Winter, the former restaurant proprietor, received the proceeds as the sole member of Lynn Winter Rental LLC.

Winter bought the property at 984 Barret Ave. for $260,000 in 1993. It is assessed at $638,270 for tax purposes, but that value likely will be raised next year to reflect the sale price.

On Thursday, Winter hosted media at the restaurant shortly after announcing that the property had been sold, but neither the identity of the buyer nor the price was disclosed.
