Louisville woman accused of hitting ex-boyfriend, second victim with vehicle
Officials say after the man fell off the vehicle, the suspect parked the car and got out and tried to assault him.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police arrested a woman officials say hit her ex-boyfriend and another man with a vehicle.
Taira Litsey, 31, was arrested Friday in the 8000 block of St. Anthony Church Road. Police say Litsey allegedly followed her ex-boyfriend to the address of the second victim in the case.
Officials say Litsey and her ex-boyfriend started arguing about a truck the victim had borrowed in order to move. Police say her ex-boyfriend refused to return the truck to Litsey.
Police say her ex-boyfriend began to walk away with the second victim. While the two men were in the street, Litsey allegedly, "accelerated rapidly and intentionally drove towards victim 1 and victim 2 striking them with her vehicle."
According to police, the second man "was pushed to the side," and her ex-boyfriend landed on the hood of Litsey's vehicle. Police also say Litsey struck the borrowed vehicle with the vehicle she was driving.
Authorities say Litsey began to "accelerate and brake in efforts to throw" the victim from the vehicle.
Officials say after the man fell off the vehicle, Litsey parked the car and got out and tried to assault him. Neighbors got involved and broke up the fight. Officials say the defendant got in the vehicle and drove away with items that belonged to the two men still inside.
Police say the first victim suffered injuries to the hand, face and left rib cage. The second victim was treated for shoulder and neck pain.
Litsey is charged with two counts of assault. She is being held at Metro Corrections.
She is scheduled to appear in court on April 5.
