LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The two towers that will make up the main-span bridge of the East End Crossing have reached their completed height of 300 feet above the Ohio River.

With the completion of this milestone, crews are working on preparations for the precast concrete deck panels and cable-stays. In mid-2016, over 100 cable-stays will be installed on the main-span bridge.

There are many visual milestones scheduled to occur project wide through this last year of construction. The attached Construction Guide details all major work and traffic changes planned through late 2016.

Construction for the entire project is about 80 percent complete. By late 2016, the new East End Crossing will be substantially complete and open to traffic.
