Pair of Indiana bakeries fighting over who can call their four-sided donuts 'square'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pair of Indiana bakeries are fighting over the shape of their pastries.

Family Express and Square Donuts in Terre Haute are fighting over their signature four-side donuts.

Square Donuts has been making them since the 1960s.

In 2006, they sent Family Express a cease and desist order after the bakery began making square donuts.

Family Express has now asked a court to allow them to call their product square donuts.

Family Express officials say they've also reached out to Square Donuts to try to reach an agreement, but there doesn't seem to be one in sight.
