LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- At least two people are facing charges after police say they burglarized a man's home while he was attending his wife's funeral.
According to arrest reports, it happened Wednesday, March 23.
Police say three people were involved in the burglary. They included 25-year-old Shane Henderson, 27-year-old Sean Henderson, and a female accomplice.
It is the female accomplice who explained to police what happened, according to arrest reports.
She allegedly told officers that Sean Henderson was the one who "orchestrated" the burglary, telling her and Shane Henderson that the victim wouldn't be home because he would be attending his wife's funeral.
Police say that on the afternoon of the burglary, Sean Henderson stood as a lookout, while Shane Henderson kicked in the back door of the home and stole a television, as well as a safe containing jewelry.
According to arrest reports, Shane Henderson and the female accomplice were later seen on surveillance video, pawning the stolen television at a pawn shop on New Cut Road.
Both Shane and Sean Henderson were arrested Monday afternoon. Police say they found a bowling ring stolen from the burglary in Sean Henderson's room at the Super 8 hotel at the corner of Central Avenue and Crittenden Drive.
Shane Henderson is charged with second degree burglary and Sean Henderson is charged with complicity to second degree burglary. It was not immediately clear at the time of this writing if the female accomplice is facing charges related to the burglary.
