LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A grand jury has indicted a Louisville man for the death of a 5-month-old boy.

Leon Montgomery, 24, is charged with murder, criminal abuse and being a persistent felony offender.

Noah Ballard-Jones died at Kosair Children's Hospital on March 16, two days after he was brought there from his home near the corner of 22nd and Date Streets. He was in a coma before he passed away.

Police say Noah suffered fractured ribs, arm and leg fractures, and a fractured skull.

The infant's mother says Montgomery is her ex-boyfriend.

The child's family argues the little boy's mother should also face charges.

Montgomery was booked into jail on a $500,000 full cash bond.
