Three first graders in Alaska suspended for allegedly planning to kill classmate

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three first grade students in Alaska have been suspended after authorities say they planned to kill a classmate.

Officials say three girls in the charter school class were planning on using silica gel packets to poison another student. Another student heard about the plan and told their teacher, parents and principal.

Anchorage police investigated the case, but say no charges will be filed.

Police say it's up to the school and district to set a punishment which is a multiple-day suspension.
