LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's one of the largest of its kind around, and the Mid-South-Xball-League paintball tournament is taking over Water Tower Park this weekend.

Besides local competitors, teams are also in town from other areas like Florida and Chicago.

MSXL participants say it's not necessarily the game that draws them in, but it's the relationships they build on and off the course.

"That's probably my favorite part of it ... how many friends you can make," Jackson Smith said. "My team feels like a family to me. It's a big community. We've got players from all over the nation, but everyone knows each other. It's good sportsmanship."

If you missed the paintball fun Saturday but still want to check it out, the tournament runs again Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
