Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Dozens of JCPS students will make the most of their Spring Break by spending the week visiting colleges across the city.

WDRB's Samantha Chatman spent time with the group that's putting it together.

The Louisville Urban League has kicked off its first-ever Spring Break College Tour Week. More than 40 high school students from across the city signed up for the program. They'll visit the University of Louisville, Simmons College of Kentucky, Jefferson Community and Technical College, Kentucky State University, Bellarmine University and Spalding University.

It's a chance for students to learn about the application process, financial aid and the many options they have after graduating high school.

The program is free and students can still sign up for the waiting list if they'd like to participate.
