Six Louisville Metro Police officers promoted
Mayor Greg Fischer and LMPD Chief Steve Conrad swore them in on Monday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Six LMPD officers have been promoted.
Mayor Greg Fischer and LMPD Chief Steve Conrad swore them in on Monday. Their positions range from Sergeant to Colonel. Fischer says the officers embody one of the city's primary pillars -- life-long learning -- which he says shouldn't just apply to LMPD but to the entire city.
"The amount of time our mayor and our chief devote to this city is absolutely amazing," Fischer said. 'These men work relentlessly because of their love for the city. Many times this is behind the scenes and many people don't see that."
Fischer says the six officers promoted Monday have more than 100 years of combined experience.
