Funeral arrangements scheduled for couple with Kentucky ties killed in Brussels attack

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A couple with Kentucky ties that died in last month's Brussels terrorist attack will be laid to rest this week.

Justin Shults, 30, and his wife Stephanie Shults, 29, passed away March 22. Family member were unsure of their whereabouts for several days after the bombing. 

Justin was born in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and Stephanie was born in Lexington.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Southland Christian Church on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Southland Christian Church in Building B. 

A memorial service will be held in Gatlinburg, Tenn. at later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nashville Zoo, www.nashvillezoo.org, Vanderbilt University (MACC Program), Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management, 401 21st Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203, and the Memorial Scholarship fund for Justin and Stephanie Shults for a student at Gatlinburg Pittman High School, Citizens National Bank, 2661 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863.
