Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- In maybe the greatest national championship game in this history of college basketball, Villanova beat North Carolina on Monday, 77-74, with a 3-pointer as time expired.

Down by three with less than 10 seconds left, senior Marcus Paige his a double-clutch 3-pointer to tie the game.

The Wildcats then drove the length of the court, and Kris Jenkins got a good look and knocked down a 3-pointer as time expired to win it.

It's the first time the national championship has been decided on a last-second shot since 1983 when North Carolina State beat Houston.
