Louisville man files lawsuit, claims Boy Scout troop leader sexually abused him

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man says his Boy Scout troop leader sexually abused him in the 1970s, and the Scouts and a local church did nothing about it.

The man's claims come in a lawsuit filed Friday against troop leader Timothy Fleming, the Boy Scouts of America, and troop sponsor Audubon Baptist Church.

Fleming's name appears in a once-secret Boy Scout file of suspected abusers made public in a separate lawsuit in 2012.

Fleming's file includes a 1978 letter from a parent alleging abuse.

WDRB has been unable to reach Fleming or other officials for comment.
