LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Ft. Wayne, Indiana man has been charged with assault after police say he attacked a KFC Yum! Center employee who said he was getting too close to the stage at The Who concert.

According to an arrest warrant, it happened on March 12.

Police say 56-year-old Jefferey Meyer left his seat and approached the stage, "which is a restricted area."

When a KFC Yum! Center employee told Meyer to return to his seat, Meyer allegedly told the employee that they would have to throw him out. Police say he then pushed the employee to the concrete floor, injuring him.

When a second employee told Meyer to return to his seat, Meyer allegedly punched him in the face.

Police were then called, and several KFC Yum! Center employees stopped Meyer until officers arrived.

The man who was pushed to the concrete floor had to have surgery for his injuries. The other employee's injuries were minor.

A warrant was issued for Meyer's arrest, and that warrant was served at the Allen County Detention Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Meyer is charged with second degree assault.
