Abused pup found in back of logging truck completely healthy, will be adopted soon

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A puppy found in a logging truck with her tail glued to her body is doing much better.

The 3-month-old puppy has been recovering at Louisville Metro Animal Services. Officials say Gigi is now completely healthy, and her new "forever family" may get to take her home next week.

"She is a typical puppy," said Leslie Hawk with Louisville Metro Animal Services. "She runs around, plays. I'm currently fostering her until she's ready for adoption, and I have three big dogs. And she doesn't know her size, and she loves to play."

Gigi was found in the cab of Danny Gonzalez's truck back in February after he reportedly "snapped" and ran several vehicles off I-65 in Bullitt County. He is expected in court again on April 11.
