LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police arrested a Louisville man officials say stole a purse from the back of a woman's wheelchair.

Christopher Koop, 24, was arrested Sunday, according to the official police report. The alleged incident happened at the Kroger store, located at 5533 New Cut Road.

Authorities say a witness observed Koop remove the purse from the back of the woman's wheelchair and attempt to leave the store with the bag.

Police say the victim stated the purse and its contents were valued over $500.

Investigators say Koop admitted to an officer that he stole the purse. The purse was returned to the victim.
