Some Hardin County residents to get water from Louisville

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some residents in Hardin County will be getting their water from Louisville.

The Kentucky Public Service Commission approved construction of a pipeline that will allow Hardin County Water District No. 1 to purchase a portion of its water supply from the Louisville Water Company.

That district serves about 10,000 customers.

The pipeline will take about a year to build. It will go from southwest Jefferson County into northern Hardin County, carrying up to 3.5 million gallons per day.
