LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified a motorcyclist who died after a crash on Crittenden Drive Wednesday evening.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. in the 2400 block of Crittenden Drive, near Maylawn Avenue.

According to the coroner's office, 21-year-old Tyler Cockerill was wearing a helmet when he drove his motorcycle, turning right onto Crittenden Drive from Maylawn Avenue. Authorities say he drifted across the centerline and into the path of oncoming traffic, where he hit a pickup truck head-on and was thrown onto the truck.

He was taken to University Hospital, but died of multiple blunt force injuries this morning, just after 7 a.m.
