LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- JCPS partners with Louisville Metro Government to give away clothes.

'Take What You Can Tote' was held on Saturday at the 'Clothing Assistance Program' building.

Community members were invited to pick up clothing for their children and themselves.

Families could fill up as many as three bags, which were provided by organizers.

"It's open up to the entire community and they can come out and they can shop for clothes that they need for their family. Anywhere from dress clothes to casual clothes, prom dresses, or if you have a wedding to go to this summer," Heather Wampler, of the Parent Teacher Association, said.

The event was part of the Mayor's 'Give A Day' week of service.

Thousands of people came out.

The next event is set for mid-December.
