LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The countdown to Thunder is on.

The biggest question: Where will you watch the show?

Kentucky Derby Festival Officials say there are a number of places you and your family could go this year.

"On the Louisville side, you have the Thunder Chow Wagon, you have the North Great Lawn, you have the Meijer family fun zone up on the West Belvedere, and there's also a lot of viewing now down by the Big Four Bridge on East River Road. All those areas will have food vending, there's bounce houses, inflatables and playgrounds nearby," said Aimee Boyd with the KDF.

KDF officials also say there is a new spot to catch the show.

A VIP Thunder rooftop party.

It's held on top of one of the downtown Louisville parking garages

Tickets are $150 and include catered food, private restrooms and seating.

Another popular spot to watch Thunder is Slugger Field.

Tickets include a Bats baseball game, a reserved seat to watch the fireworks and air show, and a post-game concert.

First pitch for the Bats is 2:05 but guests are invited to come and go all day long.

Slugger Field officials say the best part of the deal is that there will be plenty of food and *bathrooms.

"If they want to go down to the waterfront, take in the sights and the sounds down there, they can, but when they need to use that restroom, they don't have to use the Thunder port-a-potty. They can come right back up here and use a real restroom. And for families that have kids, we have the two playgrounds, the merry go round, it just makes it a great place for families to come and enjoy the entire day," said Greg Galiette of the Louisville Bats.

This year will be the 17th year Slugger Field has invited spectators to watch Thunder Over Louisville.
