Authorities release cause of death for woman found in Jennings Co. lake
Investigators say it is not clear how the woman ended up in the lake.
NORTH VERNON, Ind. (WDRB) -- An autopsy was completed Monday on the body of a woman found in a lake in Jennings County, Ind.
The body of Jama D. Brown, 49, was found in a lake in the 1900 block of East County Road 100 South, near North Vernon, Ind., on Saturday.
The Jennings County Coroner’s Office says Brown's death was caused by drowning. Authorities are waiting for toxicology results in the case.
Police say foul play is not suspected in Brown’s death. Investigators say it is not clear how Brown ended up in the lake.
Officials are continuing to investigate the case.
