Woman suffers life-threatening injuries after police say Louisville man shot her

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a woman has suffered life-threatening injuries after she was shot by a Louisville man.

Lamarrick Sanders, 36, was arrested Monday at U of L Hospital.

The official police report says Sanders allegedly got into an argument with a woman. Police say Sanders then pulled out a handgun and shot her.

According to officials, a witness said Sanders fired several shots before running away.

Sanders is charged with assault, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and wanton endangerment. He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $75,000 cash bond.

Sanders is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
