BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, In. (WDRB) -- A Seymour, Indiana teen has died after a multi-vehicle crash that happened on I-65 South near the 57.5 mile marker.

A news release from Indiana State Police says authorities responded to the two-vehicle crash just after 3 a.m. Wednesday. The victim killed in the crash has been identified as 19-year-old Nikson Cribs.

Police say Cribs was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer in the left lane of I-65 South. Officials say it's believed Cribs was going "at an extremely slow speed, possibly due to vehicle trouble."

Investigators say another person was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado along I-65 South. The Silverado hit the back of the Explorer, according to police.

Cribs was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Silverado was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Indiana State Police say toxicology results are pending for both drivers; however, drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.

All lanes of I-65 South were shut down for almost two hours, while police worked the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
