LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Josh Young, the teen who made national headlines in 2013 after he was acquitted of murdering his stepbrother, Trey Zwicker, has been arrested again.

Young was arrested Tuesday morning after police say they stopped in him a stolen car.

According to the arrest report, police noticed a Mercury Grand Marquis following another car too closely on Interstate 64. After running the plates, officers determined the car had been reported stolen and pulled it over.

Police say Young was behind the wheel and the keys were in the ignition. Young told police the car belonged to his ex-girlfriend, and that he had picked it up earlier in the day. However, a female passenger in the car told police a different story, saying that Young had been driving the car for several days.

Young is charged with receiving stolen property and following another vehicle too closely.

Since he was acquitted on the murder charge, Young has had several run-ins with the law and faced charges related to incidents of assaultpossession of synthetic cannabisshoplifting and public intoxication.

He also served a 120-day sentence for retaliating against a witness in his murder trial.
