Banner honoring Louisville native Sue Grafton on display in downtown Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Another hometown Hero Banner has been added in downtown Louisville -- this time to honor best selling mystery writer Sue Grafton.

"Sue's Louisville" banner was dedicated today on the east facing wall of the Springhill Suites/Fairfield Inn and Suites on East Jefferson Street.
Grafton's alphabet series of books -- featuring character Kinsey Milhone -- have sold millions of copies.

She says Milhone travels to Louisville in at least two books in the series.

"The important thing about this occasion is that I managed to impress my 13-year-old granddaughter who said 'My nana is going to be up on a billboard with Jennifer Lawrence."

Grafton, a Louisville native, graduated from Atherton High School and the University of Louisville before moving to California. She has since moved back to Louisville.
