LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police discover a large amount of cash and drugs after a traffic stop in Pioneer Village in northern Bullitt County.

Mortz Carver was arrested Wednesday night after he was pulled over.

"At the time, I was running tags and radar when I cam across the subject and ran his tags randomly, with warrants out of Louisville. And Upon the traffic stop, I smelled a strong odor of marijuana," said Officer Matthew Roederer with the Pioneer Village Police Department.

Officers pulled marijuana, meth, and pills from the car. They also found more than $8,000 in cash.

Police say the drugs are worth between $2,000 and $3,000.

Carver faces several drug trafficking charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
