LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a suspect for attempted murder after he shot a man in the back as he was running away.

It happened on Monday, just after 1 p.m., on Hazel Street, near W. Broadway.

Police say a witness told them that 35-year-old Damion Fitzpatrick was involved in an argument at that location. Police say he left, but returned a short time later in his car. According to the arrest report, he got out of his car, then began shooting at people in front of the home.

Police say one man was hit in the back as he was running away.

Fitzpatrick continued shooting, according to the arrest report, and one of the bullets entered Cricket Wireless, located at 3125 W. Broadway. Three employees were inside the building at the time.

Fitzpatrick was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and charged with attempted murder, and three counts of wanton endangerment. He appeared in arraignment court Thursday morning, where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.
