LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jennifer Lawrence may not be one of TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People, but she has a lot to say about someone who did make the list.

The Louisville native wrote an essay that was published on the magazine's website as part of the 100 Most Influential People list. In the essay, Lawrence calls Adele "a gift" and "an international treasure."

Lawrence is reportedly good friends with the singer.

In her essay, the Academy Award winner writes about meeting Adele for the first time at the Oscars in 2013.

She claims the singer's album, "21" put the pain of a breakup into words.

Lawrence also says Adele has "500-year-old wisdom" and talks about, "Her patience and kindness all wrapped up in the tough skin of a damn gangster."
