LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Last-minute preps are underway to get ready for a new Louisville restaurant to open tonight.

Blue Moo is a club at the Le Moo Restaurant on Lexington Road that will take you back to the 1940s and 50s.

The finishing touches are underway as crews put together furniture, hang curtains and put flowers on every table. There is never a cover charge, and jazz and blues are part of the dining experience.

"The concept behind Blue Moo was to create a sort of 1940s dining experience, very reminiscent of the supper club era back in the 40s and 50s," said owner Kevin Grangier. "You may recall the Rainbow Room on top of the NBC building in New York. It's live music in a very vibrant environment, except there's dinner with it."

You can get the same menu as Le Moo, which has been open for six months. There are some specialty drinks just for the Blue Moo.
Blue Moo opens every Friday and Saturday.

There is walk-in live jazz from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

The Food Network named Le Moo one of the top 25 steak restaurants in the U.S.

Grangier says he is working on some other projects. He plans to make an announcement soon.
