ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky (WDRB) -- A ceremony was held on Saturday at the Saint James Catholic School to celebrate the new facility.

Three members of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia are expected to move to Elizabethtown in July.

One will be the principal of the school, while the other two will be in charge of religious education across the parish.

The new convent is expected to open by the end of the year.

It is set to include a small chapel, kitchen, six bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Officials say more nuns may join the convent in the future.
