LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of a man police have charged in connection with the death of his wife over the weekend.

In court this morning, we learned the suspect, Damien Lacambra, is on suicide watch, facing murder charges. The 22-year-old was arraigned this morning on one count of murder for his alleged role in the death of 21-year-old Amelia Lacambra.

Officials say the victim is his wife.

She was found shot to death in a home on Woodmont Avenue, in the St. Regis Park neighborhood, around 3:30 p.m. yesterday.

Damien Lacambra was taken into custody for police questioning shortly after his wife's body was discovered.

Neighbors stood back and watched as police gathered evidence.

Lacambra is being held on a $1 million.
