Of the more than 725,000 people at Thunder, just 14 were arrested

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 725,000 people packed both sides of the river to enjoy Thunder Over Louisville ... with very few problems for police.

LMPD arrested five adults on drug, domestic violence and other charges, and two juveniles for fighting.

Kentucky State Police also made one arrest.

Law enforcement says it was a successful event from a safety standpoint.

"Obviously with that many people, you'd think it's an opportunity for more things to happen," LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said. "But it didn't. And the main reason is we had police presence as we always do at those events. And again, I don't know that there's a silver bullet thing that we did, other than the citizens chose to cooperate, and that goes a long way."

Police in southern Indiana arrested just six people.
