LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Highlands got a taste of presidential politics Monday.

Protesters greeted volunteers and staff as they set up Hillary Clinton's Kentucky campaign headquarters.

The office is located along Bardstown Road near Cherokee Parkway.

The rally outside didn't damper the spirits of Clinton's local supporters, who celebrated inside.

That included Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, who said he believes Clinton is the right choice for president.

"She's got a plan for job recovery for folks that need that," Fischer said. "Her foreign affairs experience is second to none. I just couldn't be happier to support her."

"We've got a lady here who is probably the most qualified person to ever run for the office."

Clinton will be in Indiana on Tuesday ahead of the May 3 primary.

She'll tour a steel plant in Gary, Ind., and the humvee manufacturing plant in Mishawaka.
